M31 Management Team

M31's Shareholding is equally divided between entrepreneurs, researchers, managers and consultants.

The Management is composed of managers and professionals who have initiated several successful high-tech businesses.

Ruggero Frezza

President & CEO

Ruggero Frezza

M.S. and Ph.D. University of California, Davis. He graduated in Electrical Engineering and now Professor at the Department of Information Engineering at the Uiversity of Padova, Italy.

He founded with his students and collaborators six companies including Biovision now incorporated in Microtec www.microtec.org , eMotion now incorporated in BTS www.bts.it , VI-grade www.vi-grade.com and M31 www.m31. com . All those companies operate in high tech industries, from biomedical to wood industry and CAE instruments for the automotive industry.

Aldo Cocchiglia

General Manager

Laurea degree in Electronic Engineering at the University of Padova, Italy. His first experience as an entrepreneur dates back to 1982, when he started ECS based in Padua. In 1986, is co-founder and Managing Director of Venture Srl, a company that deals with industrial automation and computerized machine tools. In 1990 he starts Fortune Srl, a company that develops computerized instruments for the eye-care; Fortune soon becomes part of Tomey Corporation of Nagoya (Japan). Since 1995 he is appointed European R&D Manager Group Tomey based in Erlangen, Germany.

In 1998, Mr. Cocchiglia buys back the company he founded and resells it to the Nidek Group based in Gamagori (Japan) with the name of Fortune Technologies. After three years of growth and consolidation, in 2001, the company took the name of Mother Company, becoming Nidek Technologies, of which Mr. Cocchiglia is Vice President and Managing Director until March 2008.
