COMPANY AND MISSION
Adaptica designs, manufactures and markets systems for adaptive optics, systems controlled by microcomputer.
Adaptica products apply to the fields in which images generated by optical systems need to gain focus, sharpness and optical quality, even in the details. Some of these areas are optics, astronomy, industrial automation, imaging, measurements and laser applications and biomedical.



TECHNOLOGY

Adaptica core technology consists of deformable mirrors that move following a push-pull movements. These mirrors and their components move and deform in order to satisfy the researcher or operator needs and to provide sharper and more defined images.

PRODUCTS
Adaptica offers different products conceived for industrial applications and research labs: Deformable Mirrors (Pan, Saturn, Rhea), Control Electronics (IO32 and  IO64), Wavefront Sensor (Mercury), Integrated System for Adaptive Optics, (Europa P, Europa S, Didaptica, Ganymede P), LCD (Charon), Software (MMOS SDK).
Edmund Optics, the premier provider of optical and imaging components, is Adaptica’s worldwide distributor for some of them.

Tommaso Occhipinti graduated in Telecommunication Engineering in 2002 in the University of Padova where, in 2006, he took the PhD in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. After a Master in Telecommunication Economics, he started working in the Alcatel Italia marketing division. He collaborated for several years as a Post-Doc inside the University of Padova (inside the departments of Information Engineering and Astronomy) working on Quantum Information and Astronomy subjects. He took part to several international ESA - European Space Agency - and ESO - European Southern Observatory - researches and to a Project of Excellence CARIPARO.
